My new Jacket

My new Jacket. I got it from Macy's it's super spawesome. It matches my friend Cynthias today because we're both wearing black jackets with yellow shirts and its cool. It has a bunch of pockets up and down on it they make me feel really handy dandy. The inside is lined with a warm furry type thing. The kind that squirrels have, it's okay if a few animals were hurt in the making of this jacket. Because its that awesome.

Finals

Finals are stressful time of the year, especially the honors finals. I have been in honors all 3 years here at Apollo. Frankly, I feel that honors test are over rated. Teachers think we have all this time to study when we really don't. Honors students have less time to study because they are involved in more, so why give us more work? Exactly, I feel honor students need a little less work load.

Top 3 best things about Christmas

DISCLAIMER: These aren't in any particular heirarchy, just an order I chose.

1. Starting us off at number five we have...... the Christmas meals! That's right lady and gentlemen the food. The type of food we only see once a year, when we can't feel our feet and our ears are as red as Santa's suit. I'm talking about gingerbread men, a piping hot bowl of chili, sure you can have it during summer, but do you? And of course that lovely fruitcake that your mother in law gave you as a last minute gift, because it was inexpensive and the only thing left available at Kroger on such short notice, but even then there was only one left so she had to rush for it, but uh oh gram grams from down the block has her hand on it too, oh yeah, well I don't think so. A quick kidney punch and that'll keep her out of the game, now since she's fallen she has to get a hip check too, don't want that on your conscious do you? You better love that cake.

2. Oh Christmas treee, oh Christmas tree. That's right Christmas tree has slipped his way onto our top three, and who's going to disagree with it? Not me. I personally love my Christmas tree as you have read or will soon read in a different post. The lights really help represent Christmas time in different households and bring together some good ole fashion bonding time.

3. Want Santa to climb down yo' chimney this Christmas? The only way he'll ever make it there is if you flash some Christmas lights! That's right people, lights equal Christmas. Sure other holidays may have boring old weak lights, but not Christmas. Christmas goes hard and we can see that every where around Christmas time. Different parks are overwhelmed in them, houses strung up and down tippy top to bottom. There is even competitions held around the world every year for the best light show, and that competition brings families together every year and that's why Christmas lights made it to our top 3.

Well thanks everyone for tuning in to tonights episode! We really hope to see you next semester, but until then have a Merry Christmas (Happy Holidays) and a splendid New Year!

iPhone 4 Review

The iPhone 4 is definetely a step up from its ancestors. The overal design of the phone is much more sleek and visually appealing. The texture of the front face glass as your fingers run across it, phenominal. The volume buttons on the left side are a huge improvement from the originals volume control. But what really sells me is the retina display. It's pixels are so defined that is ranks as the smartphone with the highest definition screen. Speaking of high def did I mention the HD video recording? No, you say? Well allow me the opportunity, with the iPhone 4's new HD video recording its much more convinent to record things such as your grandmother's 5th marriage without having to use an actual video camera. The call quality is really clear as well, especially on this Owensboro 3G! I without a doubt reccomend the iPhone 4 to anyone who might be considering and upgrade, whether from a to go phone or from an origianl iPhone.

Christmas Trees

Christmas trees are a never ending classic touch to the winter season. I think they're such a common peace because they symbolize a family and how each branch is a different memory shared with that family. Then people come together to decorte Christmas trees and really make it their own. My family has way too many ornaments, more than our tree can manage to hold, but that won't keep us from decorating our tree! Nay, I say it'll only encourage us to get a bigger tree, I mean who really cares if our 8ft. ceiling can't handle an eleven foot tall tree? I sure don't. Because nothing should hold down a families memories.

Christmas Lights

Whenever I see snow outside I immediately don't think of Christmas lights. I normally think of Christmas trees, and Christmas presents, but Christmas lights is last on the list. Not neccesarily that they shouldn't get as much recognition as my lite up tree; but because my family doesn't normally hang lights. Although I enjoy seeing the festive lights that other people hang up each year, along with the parks lights as well. Especially the lights that you showed us on the video, where they move to the music. That's pretty sweet stuff right there, I just hope Santa Clause isn't an epileptic. The most we light up each year is the Christmas tree in our livingroom which to me is pretty weak for such an epic holiday. I wonder what Jewish people think of Christmas lights. I bet they enjoy them just as much as me and you. And speaking of epileptic Santa, what about epileptic normal people. That just doesn't seem fair, I bet they prefer Halloween... Probably not the 4th of July

Thankfulness

I am so thankful for my family and how supportive they are, along with my friends whom I couldn't bear to live without. And though I'm extremely thankful for both of these things, my thanks for my xbox which is definitely number three on this guys list. I view my xbox as a combination of friends and family, because my family bought it for me and my friends entertain me on it via Xbox Live. Fourth on my list is the food that I'm so blessed to eat, blessed by God which is also on my thankful list, but he's above Xbox of course. English 11 with my favorite teacher that I've ever had the pleasure of listening to in class. And brownies.

Today is October 29th I am sitting in your room and your on your computer, we're all in a circle with some chairs in the middle. I see a red brick wall with a board full of Beowulf and TEW2G lots of neat things up there like pretty pictures. I also see a Sleepy Hallow movie poster with the slogan "Heads Will Roll" I saw that movie and enjoyed it as well. There are several purple books as well, I mean several. Welp, time to go bye!

STOP!

One year when I was a young'n my mother ever so delightfully dressed me up as a stoplight! Although I was scratching at the suit all night I have to admit, I was pretty darn adorable. I specifically remember that Halloween, because it was the year my older brother was a ninja turtle, my little brother was a skunk, and my little sister was your stereotypical princess. Could you imagine giving candy to a clan of Ninja Skunk Light Princesses? We were so unstopable that year, which made it the most candy filled Halloween ever.

Ode to Chili

Chili has never wronged me, never left me in tears, in fact he's done everything in his power to cure me of my tears. Oh Chili how you are always there for me on those brisk winter evenings with your steaming sauce which is evened out by my never ending love for those cool crisp saltines. Oh yes Chili you are a friend to me, and shall always have a place in both my heart and my stomach.

Scary Movies

A scary movie that really terrified me was The Hills Have eyes and I think it was so scary because of the unsureness of it all. The fact that nothing's ever really explained other than it's a government business trip into this Afghan-like hills. The movies special effects only set the mood even more. For example the make up for the mutated men was phenomenal. Along side their acting which was equally up to par, if not birdie. This movie easily kept me up all night thus rendering me unable to do my homework assignments for the next day.

Ghost Stories

My Uncle Kevin used to know a lady who claimed that her house was haunted by a woman who resembled Maryln Monroe in red high heels, but he of course refused to believe her. So she truely insisted that he should spend just one mesely evening in her supposed haunted home. And of course he felt the need to prove his testosterone and accept the challenge. When he arrived that afternoon nothing was really out of place, the hard wood floor wasn't creaky like the movies portray it to be, no walls were stained with blood of any victims, everything was really contemporary. He set down his things and sat around with the home owner until around 10 o' clock when they decided to go to bed. He laid in bed for a good hour unable to sleep so he lay wide eyed staring into the parallel door that lead into the hallway. His ears picked up a noise, a faint, extremely faint, noise, almost impossible to hear over the ticking gradfather clock down the end of the hall. It sounded like staletos marching on hardwood as though it was a cat walk. The noise continually grew louder and louder until it sounded just outside his bed room, as tiny sweat beeds ran down his forehead he waited quietly for an image to swiftly walk by his door. Surely enough the infamous Maryln Monroe look alike swept by unaware of his presence at all. The clanking of the shoes stopped as soon as she'd passed, with no more noise or distraction he finally managed to fall asleep. A sudden jolt! He'd woken himself up and checked his watch which read 2:24 A.M. After two anxious hours of sleep he lay in bed in a fury of sweat, which is very uncommon. During his insomnia he felt a sudden cold chill rush by him, frozen in fear he felt as though someone was crawling over him to get into bed with him? He swiftly jerked his head over to see the imprint of someone lying in bed with him! He leaped from his bed, grabbed his duffel bag, and got out of the now confirmed haunted house within a moments time.

Halloween

Halloween is one of the most celebrated holidays between my family. My Uncle Sam goes all out every year, and even opens up a haunted trail at Diamond Lake to further celebrate the event. Last year I had the honor of participating in his haunted trail as the infamous clown. Although Bozo and I were two very different categories of entertainment. Bozo being light hearted and enjoyable, while I on the other hand was scary, intimidating, and all around in yo' face homeboy. Well the buzzer just rang gtg lol bye

Christmas

Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday of the year. I get the opportunity to be with my family and friends for an entire two weeks of no school. And on a completely unrelated note the presents are totally a bonus. I'm a Catholic so my family really buckles down around Jesus' birthday. On Christmas morning after the typical 4:00 a.m routine we go to church and then out to a huge breakfast with my family. Unfortunately this year I think I'll have to work, but they are offering time and a half. It's our busiest day of the year at Malco, although I don't quite understand why anyone would want to see a movie on Christmas Day anyway.

Sadie Hawkins

Sadie Hawkins is tomorrow Friday Septermber 17th and I am personally more excited for this dance than I was for Thanksgiving last year. I am taking a sophomore from OHS. Before the dance a group of our friends are going to meet at Zaxbys for the ultimate before dance feast. Then during the dance I'm going to break it down like there's no tomorrow obviously. And after the dance my friend, who we'll call Jeff, and I are going to his house to goof off until I pass out. Then the next morning I have to wake up and be at work for an 11:00-10:15 shift. Sounds like a pretty epic dance to me.

Class Ring

On Monday, September 13th, I received my AHS class ring. The design is a cut, very geometric rectagular shape, and consists of mostly straight lines. The centerpiece of the ring is a blue starburst ruby with the letter A in the middle of it, which stands for Apollo contrary to popular belief of it standing for Adultress. On one side of the ring it has my name and a cross symbolizing my love for God. On the other side there's an eagle which is obviously Apollo's mascot. My name is also engraved inside the ring and 2012, my graduating class, is around the centerpiece. I couldn't have asked for a better class ring.

My Guitar.

One time at band camp I learned to play the guitar
I wanted to go fishing
But my dad made me stay in the car
It got so hot I wanted a drink at the bar
But all I could do was Play My Guitar

Braces! 9-10

I got my braces off yesterday, 9-09, and it was quite rememberable. I got my braces put on December 4th 2007. It has been two years and ten months of pure unending rubberband, tightening torture. Now that they are off my body, I feel like a bird soaring over an ocean breeze south of the Pacific but slightly North of the artic taking in every air molucule I can manage to grab hold of. I'm so happy to have them off that I could go eat a carmel apple.

Picture Day

Today is picture day, 8-27, and like every year all one of Apollo High School's students has gone out his or her way to make sure they look super extra specially nice for the their grandmother or their parents. I've already taken my picture and everything was fine, unlike last year's incident. It was picture day 2009 and like the year before and even before that I was dressed up super fly. My name was called and I marched in to the little gym like everyone else. I was anxious and ready to see my picture before I'd even gotten to the camera. They were calling us one at a time and when my name was called I stood at attention and sat down on the oh so familar cushony box. The camera lady had a face of pure evil, altough I couldn't quite pinpoint why. I smiled and set myself, but this didn't please the witch, she asked me in an eerie voice to tilt my head to an angle. So agreeingly I slighty tilted my head, but that wasn't enough for her, she kept asking me to tilt my head even more until it felt like it was snapping underneath me. And that is why I have without an unreasonable doubt the absolute worst picture in the yearbook this year. Go ahead and check it out. I dare you.

Egyptian Proverb

"Friendship doubles happinies and halves grief" - Egypt

To me this saying means that friendship not only makes life worth living twice as much, but it also helps take whatever pain someone might have away by nearly half. Whenever my last grandparent died I didn't have much to say, no tears rolled down my face but I could still taste the salt. Even though I sat in silence I knew it hurt, and if I hadn't had friends to help me through it I just can't even imagine what I would do. That was several years ago, and I just had a mass dedicated to her where my entire family showed up in rememberance.

8-15-10

Today, Sunday August 15th 2010, I woke up for church at approximately 6:30 a.m. I scrambled to get to the shower before my slug of a sister could even manage to open her crust sealed eyes. Once I was out and ready for a great hour at church I managed to catch a couple of Zzz's. Felt pretty good. After mass my family and I rushed home to get changed and head over to my Aunt Donna's house for a home made breakfast. While the rest of my family changed into shorts and a comfortable t-shirt I changed into work pants and a maroon covered Malco uniform. I had to be at work by 11:00 clock and work until 6:00 p.m. It was a fantastical day!
